Here’s a little something from Dish Cornwall, who are regulars at our campsite…
Working alongside the team at Anchor Barrow Campsite in our carefully converted 1970 horse box is more than just cooking, it was being able to be part of something new, a partnership based in the sunny coastal town of Perranporth.
Our offering in 2021 will be based on our initial ideas; keeping it simple, fresh, and tasty.
Our very own roasted coffee, lovingly made, filtered through our classic barista machine alongside a selection of local, refreshing cold drinks.
Campsite breakfast will never be the same again… Toasted sandwiches with a variety of filings that will satisfy your breakfast needs, with a slosh of homemade ketchup that will add to the whole experience.
In addition, we will be offering our own Toasted Granola, with fresh Cornish berries, thick set yogurt and local honey.
In the cooler mornings, why not try our porridge with toasted seeds and maple syrup.
We will also be adding a small deli range of fresh cakes, bakes and breads.
Our evenings are always so much fun! Come along for one of our Wood-Fired Feast Nights. Pizza night on Friday is always a winner! Sour dough pizza cooked in front of your very eyes, finished with rocket, parmesan shavings and locally foraged wild-garlic pesto.
Sunday’s are about relaxing after being on the beach or cycling the Cornish lanes. Roast Cornish meat that has been cooked in a wood-fired oven will blow your senses. Take this away so you can enjoy in your tent or on the picnic benches whilst you watch the sun setting.
We offer a full range of vegan and vegetarian meals alongside our menu, that can be tailored to individual diets.
If you have dietary needs, it’s best to contact us before you arrive to make sure we have what you want as this will avoid disappointment.
Reviews from Summer 2020
'...The best bit for me was the food concessions - every morning for breakfast and Fri/Sat/Sun evenings for pizzas or roasts...'
'...What makes it is the on site Dish Cornwall. We had a coffee every morning from them and their toasted sandwiches and Granola are a great way to start the day. Whats even better is they do evening meals on certain nights. We had a Sunday Roast cooked in their wood fired pizza oven and it was amazing. How many campsites can you get a roast dinner?...'
